Initiated by Vykintas Baltakas, LENsemble Vilnius (Lithuanian Ensemble Network) connects professional ensembles, soloists and conductors and consists of the Chordos String Quartet, Kristupas Wind Quintet, Kaskados Piano Trio, Vilnius Brass Quintet, accordionist Raimondas Sviackevičius and others.
LENsemble regularly performs contemporary music at Lithuanian music festivals and is proud of its performances at the WDR (2009), the Ruhr European Capital of Culture (2010), Ultraschall Festival Berlin (2013), Gaida Festival, Flagey Brussels, Concertgebouw Brugge, Klang festival Copenhagen, Baltic Music Days, tours in Serbia, Egypt, Poland, Latvia and its recordings for Kairos, WDR, Deutschland Radio Kultur and more.
In 2011, LENsemble in Vilnius established its own concert series ‘Composers of our time’, which features influential international and Lithuanian composers. Within the framework of ‘Music for Vilnius’, in 2023 LENsemble presented world premieres and portrait concerts of Beat Furrer, Ivan Fedele, Toshio Hosokawam, Agata Zubel, Michael Gordon, Anna Korsun and Heiner Goebbels.
In 2021, LENsemble started its own series of contemporary music recordings at NoBusiness Records.
