Free concert!
The final concert of the competition “Young Composer 2023” will include compositions from the composers who passed the first round. Based on the performances, the jury will select the best contestants and reward their authors. The prizes are funded by LHV Bank with a special prize from our cooperation partner Klassikaraadio (Estonian Classical Radio).
CREATIVITY LAB/composition summer school 2023
From 30 July to 5 August 2023 in Viljandi Music School
Key instruments: percussion, viola, piano
Topics: the process of creating film/theatre music; playfulness in composition
Creative tutors: Maria Kõrvits, Riho Esko Maimets and Tauno Aints
Instruments will be presented and teached by: Vambola Krigul (percussion), Liina Žigurs (viola) and Farištamo Eller (piano)
Additional theme evenings and workshops: “The role of virtual instruments in the composing process when creating film/theatre music” (Liina Sumera), and “Playfulness and creativity” (Riho Esko Maimets)
The competition is organised by Eesti Muusikafond.
