Tammo Sumera

Tammo Sumera (b. 1984) has grown up in a family of musicians, surrounded by music from a very early age. He started studying the piano at the age of four and took up the clarinet in high school. Throughout his life, he has been involved in sound technology. Sumera specialises in recording academic music and performing contemporary electronic music, yet he also works in the field of audio-visual technology in a broader sense. He has worked with most Estonian composers, interprets and musical collectives and has given concerts in most of Europe, the USA and Japan. Tammo Sumera is lecturer of sound engineering and interpretation of electronic music at the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre. He also works as a multimedia art project developer and as a supplier and consultant of professional audio-visual equipment. In recent years of pandemic, he has contributed to the music scene by producing live concert broadcasts for various music institutions such as Estonian National Symphony Orchestra, Estonian Philharmonic Chamber Choir, Tallinn Philharmonic Society, Estonian Music Days, etc.
