Leonardo Tommasini

Leonardo Tommasini (b. 1994) was born in Bologna (Italy). He started playing the piano at 12 years old. In 2009, he enrolled at the Conservatory G. B. Martini of Bologna and joined the classes of composition (with Prof. Gian Paolo Luppi), piano (with Prof. Carlo Mazzoli) and organ (with Prof. Marco Arlotti). There he obtained a diploma in composition and organ, and a Bachelor’s degree in piano respectively in 2020, 2019 and 2018. In 2021, he started Master’s degree studies in composition at the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre (Tallinn) under the guidance of Prof. Toivo Tulev. Alongside his academic studies, he learned to play keyboards and synthesisers. Moreover, from 2013 until 2016 he joined a crossover/funk/pop rock band called The Whim (the homonymous EP is available on youtube) as a keyboard player. He is now a former keyboard player and singer of a prog/alternative band called Marble House. They released two albums available on every digital platform: Embers (2018), Underscore (2020).
