Lazar Đorđević (b. 1992, Serbia) works as a Lecturer at the Faculty of Music in Belgrade Composition Department. He is in his final year of Doctoral studies in composition at the aforementioned faculty, under supervision of Prof. Zoran Erić. Đorđević has also pursued further specializations abroad, attending workshops and masterclasses led by composers such as Peter Ablinger, Vinko Globokar, Stephen McNeff, Sidney Corbett, Johannes Kretz, Yann Robin and others. Works by Lazar Đorđević have been performed multiple times in Serbia and abroad. He has participated in many festivals such as isaFestival, Rostrum of Composers, Review of Composers, Sarajevo Sonic Studio, Eufonija Fest, Rossifest and others. His pieces were premiered by important Serbian ensembles, such as RTS Symphony Orchestra, Gradiliste Ensemble, Ensemble Metamorphosis, Camerata Academica and many others. Đorđević has had successful collaborations with renowned Serbian performers such as violoncellist Nemanja Stanković, violist Saša Mirković and accordionists Vladimir Blagojević, Darko Dimitrijević and Momir Novaković. For a composition entitled Jednom sam negde čuo… (Once upon a time I Heard, Somewhere…) Đorđević won First prize at the Eufonija International Festival of Accordion in 2016. He also won composition awards “Stevan Hristić” (2015) and “Josip Slavenski” (2017). He composed the first concerto for accordion and orchestra by a Serbian composer, which premiered in 2017 in Novi Sad. He also won a special prize for composition 21. October at the Portrait and Remembrance Competition of 2021 Rossifest. He also participated at the 67. International Rostrum of Composers held in Belgrade in 2021 with composition D-Madness.
