Sara d’Amico

Sara Siria d’Amico, born in Pescara on April 1st, 2001, is the Principal Harp of the ERSO – Estonian National Symphony Orchestra in Tallinn, Estonia.
She studied at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Lyon (France), where she earned her Bachelor’s degree in 2020 and Master’s degree in 2022, studying with Fabrice Pierre, Sylvain Blassel, and Park Stickney. She attended harp masterclasses with Fabrice Pierre, Lisetta Rossi, and Gabriella Dall’Olio, and studied with Lucia Antonacci, with whom she completed her studies in Italy, obtaining the Trinity College Music Certification Exams in 2016.

She distinguished herself from a very young age, achieving important results in major harp competitions, including “Suoni d’Arpa” in 2012 (1st Prize), “Marcel Tournier” in 2016 (2nd Prize), and the “Concours Français de la Harpe” in France in 2017 (1st Prize).
From 2019 to 2021, she won the audition for the Gustav Mahler Jugendorchester, and in 2022 she was selected for the European Union Youth Orchestra, performing under the direction of conductors such as Gianandrea Noseda, Herbert Blomstedt, Jonathan Nott, Gustavo Gimeno, and Iván Fischer, and working under the guidance of leading orchestral harpists including Luisa Prandina (Teatro alla Scala, Milan) and Julie Palloc (Opernhaus Zürich). In 2022, she obtained eligibility for the Haydn Orchestra of Bolzano and Trento.

In her professional career, she has collaborated with numerous orchestras, including the Orchestra dell’Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia, the Estonian National Symphony Orchestra, the Nordic Symphony Orchestra, the Orchestra of the Opéra de Lyon, the Orchestra Accademia Teatro alla Scala, the Orchestra of the Teatro dell’Opera di Roma, the Orchestra of the Teatro San Carlo di Naples, the Orchestra del Teatro Comunale di Bologna, and the Orchestre Symphonique Tunisien, working under the direction of conductors such as Donato Renzetti, Michele Mariotti, Daniel Oren, Paavo Järvi, and Mikko Franck.
She has also been active in chamber music and concert performance, notably with the Trio Images (with Margherita Di Giovanni, viola, and Lello Narcisi, flute) and with the Colibrì Ensemble, performing as soloist in Mozart’s Concerto for Flute and Harp.
She took part in several Chamber Orchestra Festivals in Italy, Switzerland and France, such as Note d’Autunno, Mantovamusica, Piacenza Classica, Lossimuusika Festival, ByPass Forum de la création musicale, Colibrì Ensemble.

From 2021 to 2022, she taught at the École de Musique de La Tour-de-Salvagny in Lyon.
Currently, in addition to her position as Principal Harp of the ERSO – Estonian National Symphony Orchestra in Tallinn (audition won in 2023), she collaborates regularly with the Orchestra of the Teatro dell’Opera di Roma, having obtained first eligibility in 2023.
