Exhibition of original manuscripts from Estonian composers

Estonia has devoted the year 2018 to cultural heritage. On this occasion, Estonian Theatre and Music Museum introduces its rich and unique collection of music scores, a part of the new permanent exhibition named Stories and Songs. The selected manuscripts give a concise overview of Estonian art music since the 19th century to present day. Out of the nearly 16 000 manuscripts the museum possesses, there will be displayed examples from around 20 composers, among them Heino Eller, Veljo Tormis, Rudolf Tobias, Kuldar Sink, Jaan Rääts, Lepo Sumera, Olav Ehala, Erkki-Sven Tüür, Helena Tulve, Cyrillus Kreek, Tõnu Kõrvits, Arvo Pärt, Eino Tamberg, Ester Mägi and Alo Mattiisen.

The exhibition will remain open until 30 December (Tue–Sun 10 am til 6 pm)
