“Listening Stone” is a multimedia installation on the surroundings of St. Nicholas’ Church that introduces this year’s Estonian Music Days. While accumulating and reflecting urban sounds, the church building starts to make sounds itself and imitate its surroundings. It may happen that the laughter of a seagull, a child’s crying, talk chatter and the bicycle bell won’t be experience only for a short moment but inspires the ones who know how to listen. It may also happen that the church building, coming to life in a way, will remind us all that stone can listen as well as one can hear much more than expected when one sharpens one’s ears.
